Regional Outreaches are held in April, August, and December and have hosted
as many as 500 people.  Children’s Day, Back to School, and Christmas
programs help minister to area families and broaden the reach of Burgos
Missions and Cristo Es La Roca.  Outreaches include activities for adults and
children, as well as distribution of food, clothing, and seasonal items.

The first event held at Cristo Es La Roca was Fiesta Navidena, the Christmas
outreach.  Area leaders thought 80 people was an aggressive goal.  400
children and 100 adults attended from every corner of the region, awakening a
desire to host more events and minister to the people “no one even knew were
there.”  This outreach has become the best known.  Dramas, music, games, and
skits are part of the half-day celebration which ends with a hot meal and children
receiving gifts donated from U.S. churches and families.

The outreach for Children’s Day, a national holiday, incorporates group games,
activities, and crafts for the children.  At the Back-to-School event, carnival type
games are played to distribute school supplies to children.   Most events provide
large group teaching and discussion groups for adults.  Families receive items
to help off-set living expenses at each outreach as supplies afford.  Food,
clothes, hygiene products, blankets, and Bibles are some of the items given at
past events.
