Children’s Programs are serving the area’s small communities offering Bible lessons, crafts, games, music, and snacks. Because many of these areas lack a local church, the programs are vital for the Christian education and training of the children. Programs also help in developing relationships with families. Programs range from 4 to 40 depending on the community and other local activities. Some programs are held in a church and others under a mesquite tree. If the community has a pastor, the programs are facilitated as a support to the church and its programming. The programs open doors into the lives of the community’s families. Trust is gained, friendships developed, needs are discovered, and lives are impacted. It is not uncommon for the mission team members to be invited to family events, dinners, or to be asked for help in times of need. children's program photos |
